I cannot be a body
if you pretend like you don't have a body.So for the life in us both,
please honor
our intentionally fashioned togetherness
by letting me kneel down
to touch and wash your flesh
which also happens to be mine
something i can only discover
if you allow me to kneel and touch and wash you
This is our birth
right before my death
